From Mozambique to the Basque Country

They are Alaia and Adrian. They met a few years ago when they lived and worked in Mozambique and they just returned home to start a new beginning here. On Monday morning, I took the car and drove to familiar locations to photograph them. Despite of the freezing temperatures at the dam, we had a wonderful time and the session turned out to be really relaxed and natural. Later, when the sun was shining, we decided to head to the mountains. These rocky walls make a great background for portraits, so this place never disappoints. We are so lucky to have all these amazing places right outside our doors.

These are some of the shots from that morning. Hope you like them!

Out and about exploring forests

If you look through my photos you will soon realize that I don't like shooting on sunny days because I don't know how to deal with a cloudless blue sky (ha!). When the majority are happy enjoying the sun, I keep waiting for cloudy days and misty mornings. It creates an atmosphere that I really feel inspired with and I believe it adds mood to my work. Now don't get me wrong, I also enjoy warm and beautiful sunsets during summer time, but I think I work best when the conditions are a little adverse. Here's a set of photographs taken on a morning like that. Enjoy!
