I truly believe that photos should live outside our computer screens and that is the main reason why I print my work at least once a month. There is something special about looking at a physical photograph and being able to hang it up on the wall or to give them as a gift to your family and friends. But what happens when you create a body of work and there is a bigger story that you want to tell? This is what I've been thinking about for the past few months, and I've finally come up with the idea of self publishing my own photo books.

As you already know, my husband and I recently traveled to Japan for a month. During that time, I made over 2500 photographs and I selected about 450 to consider for the project I had in mind. I didn't want to make it extremely long because this was mostly a travel book, and I didn't want to make it big either, because I wanted to try and keep costs to the minimum.

I'm really excited about this little project. Little because it's a 15x23cm book of 96 pages that includes 90 photos, but it's also the beginning of a bigger project; a series or a collection of travel books that I'll be working on in the next few months.

If you want to grab a copy, you can click on the link below and choose from the options available (softcover, hardcover with dust jacket and a hardcover with imagewrap). I hope it inspires you to travel and see this wonderful country!
